Terms of Use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Acceptance

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Estimates, not guarantees

Every calculator on this site produces a planning estimate. Results depend on constants that come from product labels and standard references, and on site conditions we cannot see — sub-base compaction, wall texture, waste from cuts, and how material is actually delivered.

You are responsible for verifying quantities against the product you buy and, for anything structural, electrical or regulated by building code, for consulting a licensed professional. We are not liable for over-ordering, under-ordering, project delays or construction defects arising from use of these tools.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the calculators for personal or commercial estimating. You may not:

  • Scrape or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades service for others.
  • Republish the calculators or written content as your own.
  • Attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security.

4. Intellectual property

The site design, written content and calculator code are owned by BuildCalc and protected by copyright. The underlying formulas are standard industry arithmetic and are not claimed as proprietary.

5. Advertising

The site displays third-party advertising. We do not endorse advertised products and are not responsible for transactions between you and an advertiser.

6. Availability

The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildCalc is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

Note for the site owner: this template is a starting point, not legal advice. If you operate from a specific jurisdiction, add a governing-law and venue clause naming it, and have a local professional review the liability section.
